I've been playing a Selmer 1244 for about a year and a half. It's pretty good, although it belongs to the school I go to..

when i started i played on a jupiter, i had it for about two years and didn't really use it, then i played it in the schools concert band for about a year and a half. that second year i joined the jazz band and quickly began to realize what a piece of junk that thing was, i had no control of my lower notes, meaning anything below E, and the altissimo notes just wern't playable, after i decided that i loved playing jazz i went all out and sold my soul to buy my cannonball stone series, along with a yanigasawa jazz mouthpiece. all i can say about that sax is that it is amazing, and combo'd with that mouthpiece and can play almost any note, i tend to be a little sharp if i get higher than the high B, but bending is easy enough it's not a big deal. if you really want a nice sax, instead of a car, then buy a cannonball

This is true. In fact I'm very fond of my Selmer in spite of the small dents and numerous scratches on the lower body, and briefly scanning the Internet, it seems the cheapest one on EBay or online store is about $1300. I wouldn't mind keeping this horn until I either graduate or can afford to get my own sax myself.

Yahmaha 82Z-Custom, it's a newer Eb Alto I've recently purchased. I've been playing about eight to nine years.

Selmer Mark VI, absolutely the shit, i love it, my dad got it back when it was a relatively new instrument, and honestly, its aged like fine wine,

I play a Selmer c* mouthpiece, and its ok for concert band, but i really want a brass jazz mouthpiece for ska.

I play either a Selmere La Vouix or a Selmer Series II. I use a Selmer C* for both and I truly want a jazz mouthpiece. I also use a standard Yamaha student model YAS-23 and a standard beginner mouthpiece for that. Need to upgrade my alto I think.

i started with a vito... those things are a fuckin joke...

now i am the proud owner of a cannonball big bell stone series alto, plated nickel, frosted; it's beautiful and plays great
i use a pretty basic meyer mouthpiece, best mouthpiece you can get for anywhere near the price, and vandoren v16's. i played zz's, but they die wayyy too fast, and the v16's have a beefier tone

i play a selmer prelude

its pretty sweet, the low notes have pretty good tone but the high ones, that is above high b, always come out sorta sharp.
the only thing that sucks about it is the look lol.

im a weird kind of person and i dont like playing a shiny sax. i prefer one with a vintage finish as opposed to one with the lacquer finish but hey, thats just me lol.

esthetically, i hate it, but musically its my soul mate hahah
