well, i bought this holton horn for $20. only 20 cause where the leadpipe turns to tuning parts....it's broken at the joint. it's also broken on the joint where the inner tube of the tuning slide connects to the "D" of the slide....the tubes are all still round...i was thinking of repairing it...but...i kinda looked at the pieces...and...i was wondering if it would be terribly stupid to just put the parts that are broken on backwards. hence, making a reversed leadpiple. the tuning brace is broken...and that really awesome holton medallion didnt come with it, so i'd have to leave those out...or fashion some odd emblem. or, is it acceptable to have no braces running down all the way to the third valve? ...well, the two that go across to the bell side are there. already removed. if i set it up reversed, would it be a good idea to put a brace on the leadpipe right after the third valve across to the bell length? also, is there anything cool i could do while the horn is torn apart?
just so you know, im planning on keeping it, not selling it or something like that. so, it really doesnt matter if i ruin it. but, i've got all the stuff to make it interesting. thanks

yes....sort of reminds me of Brian May (guitarist, Queen) this dude was a genius at building guitars, he made shit happen. wired his own pick-ups, forged out his own hollow-bodies; all with the intention of creating the most sizzling, angelic, celestial SOUND on a guitar. for instance take a riff and then change the shape of the tone, and hence the ability to change octaves, via; complete macrabe. Your trumpet is your "frankenstein" make it bleeed
