| I have a Bach Strad model 43, and got it out of the shop for a valve lapping. Anyway, all three valves move freely when I test them out, but when I play, the first and second valves have a bit of trouble coming up. They'll get up about 2/3 of the distance, stop, and then slowly rise again. All three valves have been oiled recently, and I had the same problem before that. Has anyone else had this problem? | ||

| wat might be happening is the way u play the trumpet, most playing press the buttons the there fingers straight so like the middle of there fingers push down the slides. THis isnt correct though, This causes the valve 2 get scratched and bent inside because u are adding not needed pressure on nthe values. Trying playing if u r doing this with your fingers in the shape of a C so thta the tips of your fingers are right under the valves and play like that. Its never 2 late 2 get out of a habit | ||
