Quick question...

I have a regular silverplated Vincent Bach 10 1/2 C mouthpeice and a goldplated Vincent Bach 6B.

My question is... Which one allows you to play higher? I've been trying to decide by myself but I can't do it. So any help on this subject would be awesome.

Thanks
Ben

If you've tried yourself, then obviously it doesn't make a difference for the range. Consider the following questons to decide.
Which one is cheaper?
Which one looks better?
which one is more comfortable?
which one will last longer?
which one gives the best tone?
If you're just looking for range and you can't tell, then they should be about equal.

If he owns them both already why should matter?

Makes no difference to sound and should be the least of your worries.

Important point. Both which is more comfortable when you start and also when you get tired.

Endurance is also a important point. As above.

Don't worry so much about "best" tone but more, which sound is right for the type of playing I do? Do i need a bright, cutting sound (jazz, ska, rock, loud stuff) do I need something fuller and warmer (concert band, orchestra) or I do i need my own personalised sound (solo)

Having said all that!, play the 10 1/2 C. The smaller rim will help with devolping embouchure, and the B cups are very (too) deep for a learning trumpeter. Or read this all this and make up your mind.
