| In a live video I saw of Big D and The Kdis Table (which you can get from the site) I saw the trombonist spin his trombone, quite cool. It was "You Lost, You're Crazy" Shot by Dan Dobi. | ||

| How would one learn to spin the trombone? I'm guessing using the brace next to the tuning slide brace and spinning it fast around your left arm? | ||

or use a valve trombone and use the 1/3 slide cuz you hold it like a trumpet |

personally, my trick is to pass it around really quick behind my back and right back up to my mouth to play again. because i use a bass bone it looks really cool because it seems too unweildly to do tricks with. i can also do the spin with it. there's also throwing the top half of your bone upwards while holding the slide brace and having it slide back down. just never, ever do this with a rotor valved bone (tenorbass or bass) because you will damage the slide fromthe extra tubing weight. Erm...ok ill try Theres 2 ways the shit way and the risky way seeing as i am playing a dinted TO HELL trombone...im doing the risky atm basically... you see the righy where the bell bit attaches the other bit...technically i know Well just put your thumb there and spin it around your thumb Practise over cushions..its really not that hard once you get the hang off it THe shit way is to spin it and move your hand with the spin...the problem is that you spin it one way then you have to spin it the other way to get your hand back to normal....looks ok i guess Ill post videos of them sometime |
