Is there a way to silence the sax anyway so that it is not so loud when practicing. everytime i play my downstairs neighber compains and stuff. any way? |

| I haven't found one, you just have to play quieter, using a low strength reed helps, but you really have to do it yourself. You can put a towel or a bottle in it as a mute, but it will only actually work on the low Bb, and you'll kind of get the effect all the way up to the low D. This is fun to try, you can get some crazy sounds out of it, and it will silence it a bit, but in the end it's pretty pointless. If you desperately need to practise silently, I would invest in an EWI. It is really good practice to play very soft with intensity though, it will do you a world of good, but it is pretty annoying at times. | ||
