For my birthday, my Girlfriend got me a Sackbut. It's like... the Pre-trombone. Popular in the baroque era and whatnot. Mine was made in the year 1900. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sackbut There's the Wiki page if anyone doesn't know what I'm talkin about xD |

| not sure if it's actually vintage....i assume it is. but i play on a 1941 couesnon 'bone. it was made in paris ..so..i think it must be pretty hardcore to survive the whole invasion and all. use it in a ska band where i'm jumpin and thrashing a lot. the slide isn't perfect... but..it works great | ||

Oh damn, yeah those sackbuts look badass, especially that bass one. What's yours? And how does it sound? I wanna get one of those straight medieval trumpets, I don't know what they're called though. |
