Note:yes I know my usernaime is misspelled I typed it too quickly. Anyway, let's get to the point. I've been playing trumpet almost four years (3 in middle school and currently in freshman band) and I've always loved ska music. I know someone who wants me to join their ska band but they don't really know how I play. Not that I'm bad, I can hit up to a high C above the staff but after looking at these tabs I noticed they usually go a lot higher than that. So the question is: do you guys have any techniques or ways to help improve on hitting high notes and/or techniques on playing in the ska style? Thanks for listening! |

a. Way I found out to hit high notes is to. Use more of ur bottom lip into ur mouthpiece than ur top. I'm a sophmore in high school. My highest note is a c an octave. Above the u play. Also don't tighten ur lips too much.
