I thought it might be a good idea to make a thread for small questions that only need maybe 3 or 4 posts to answer. That way we don't clog up the boards with heaps of little dead threads and it would be a good place to check if someone has already answered a question rather than searching through...yeah.

I don't know about you guys, but I think of these sort of questions all the time =P

Ahh cool. Yeah I've seen those things before, but I thought they were just called tubas. If I needed to differentiate between sousaphones and tubas, I'd call the sousaphone a round tuba

So anyone here play sousaphone?

i play sousaphone.........but not that much.....of your used to playing higher instruments like the trumpet...it could fuck up your embouchure...
trust me, i had to learn that the hard way...

I think it was a problem on my end coz hotmail was smaller as well. So I finally got around to upgrading my browser.

Now hotmail is fixed...but horntabs is wiiiiiide.

Hi all, I played the trumpet for about 7 years and am about to pick it back up again. I know how to read music and I am having problems on reading tabs; what is meant by C2 B2 A2 E3. I know what the notes are but the numbers throw me off. Is C2 supposed to be a (C#), or B2 a B flat, and A2 an A#? Please help me!!!
