Any fans of the Cherry Poppin Daddies ?

Ive got one of their albums "Kids on the Street" which I love but some of the tracks are a little obscure so I was looking to see if anyone has their other albums and which are the best/worst ?

They are considered pretty obscure here in the UK so are very expensive to buy so I want to get their best stuff. Case in point "Everything Sucks" by Reel Big Fish in which most of the tracks do indeed suck IMO !

Cheers

idk about kids on the street, but i have some "best of" cd

i guess they did a lot of jumping between rockabilly and swing/ska?
the best of is the ska-influenced swing band stuff, which is pretty nifty

it's got zoot suit riot, but most of the album really isn't taht great... mr.bones is pretty good, brown derby jump ain't bad, that's about it

They do have a very wide range of songs, ranging from punk to disco to swing to funk to ska, and lots more believe it or not.

I always think Zoot Suit Riot when I hear Cherry Poppin' Daddies.
Other good songs include (as OKGrandma said) Dr. Bones (not Mr.)and Brown Derby Jump (and just in my opinion) Irish Whiskey, Detroit Swing City (I actually prefer it to the original Detroit Rock City), Sockable Face Club is very obscure, but one of my favorite songs, I didn't mind Suicide Kings (it has a good sax solo), and Mister White Keys is good, Master and Slave too.

Ok, sorry, I'm just rambling, here's a list of songs I know by them, ordered by my favorite to least (approximately, I'm not really putting much thought into it) and divided into genres (ok maybe I'm putting a little effort in): (keep in mind, I don't really know what Rockabilly is, I've heard it thrown around, but I don't know if I trust my definition)

Swing (They're all awesome)
Zoot Suit Riot
You Better Move
Detroit Swing City
Brown Derby Jump
Ding Dong Daddy of the D Car Line (heavy jazz fans will find parts of other songs hidden in here)
Master and Slave
You Me & the Bottle Makes 3
Mister White Keys
Swingin' With Tiger Woods

Jazz
Minnie the Moocher
Here Comes the Snake
Zip Gun Bop
So Long Toots
Shake Your Lovemaker

Ska (All good again)
God Is A Spider
Sockable Face Club
Don Quixote
Drunk Daddy

Disco...?
Diabolic Tastemaker
Suicide Kings
Diamond Light
My Mistake

Soka
Jump In Line/Shake Senora

Funk
Dirty Mutha Fuzz

Rockabilly?
Irish Whiskey
Flower Fight With Morrissey

Rock and Roll
No Mercy For Swine

Blues
Cherry Poppin' Daddy Strut

Hope that helps,
