| Hey I'm in a Satanic Thrash Ska band called KTHXDIE and we are debating putting horns in the group. If we do we decided they have to be painted black, the trombones must have 3 inch spikes on the slide, and we would like to get fake blood (or red watercolors), to shoot from the bells. Is there anyone who would know how to do any of this? | ||

K, well, there are quite a few places where you can get your trombone colored black, but it wouldn't be cheap. As far as spikes, you could probably weld them, of course for this you would need someone who has any basic metal-working skill. The fake blood would be possible, but it would probably involve drilling a hole into the tubing near the bell and pumping it through a tube. So, all of your requirements are rather possible. However, it will probably be rather expensive, has a 90% chance of making the instrument sound terrible, and the whole idea seems rather pointless and redundant. |

| Yeah, I think you'd sacrafice too much sound quality, especially if you welded on it. On the other hand, thrash isn't exactly known for smooth tones. | ||
