Hey guys, I notice there are a lot of freshmen trumpet players asking for advice, well, me too. I've been in concert/symphonic/whateveryouwannacallit band for almost four years now and I really want to get into playing ska. I can hit up to a high C above the staff as in the highest note you'd hit if you played a B flat scale two octaves. What I'm asking from you cool guys at horntabs is how to start out small and how to work my way into playing ska. Please direct me to any first-timer song tabs on the site and I'll attempt to learn them. Thanks! |

Some songs that are fairly easy to play for beginning trumpet (provided you can get hold of the mp3s of the song): Reel Big Fish - Cheer Up Reel Big Fish - Snoop Dog, Baby Sublime - Ball and Chain The Mighty Mighty Bosstones - The Impression That I get Mad Caddies - Distress Mad Caddies - Popcorn Less Than Jake - Gainesville Rock City These are basically pretty simple little tunes that you will pick up easily. |
