I'm pretty sure I've heard a few of you mention that you also play bass. I'm a capable bass player because I've had to play it at school for the last few years (coz no one else would do it). Last week my dear father bought me a bass of my own with a little 20W practice amp. While I'm still practicing up songs for school, I was thinking of starting up some ska bass just because it's a better use of the instrument than boring old rock bass. To save me listening through my whole ska library, does anyone know of some nice slowerish ska songs that have walking basslines? Just a few songs to get me used to the style would be appreciated. Thanks homies. -Faulk

Thanks fellas, nicthejew22, we must have similar minds because before I posted this thread I had a go at A Flowery Song (got the opening riff but then realised it was in the wrong key) and Journey to the End of East Bay but I didn't get very far with that. I'll try to have a go at those ones, thanks again. -Faulk. |
