Hey everyone, I'm a new baritone sax player who plays at school, just as part of music class. I've been playing whenever we have music class, which is 4 times every 8 day cycle, but theres weekends and classes where we dont play. I've been at it since the start of Febuary, and my music teacher tells me I play really really well and wants me to be in the school band. Thats (in my opinion) a pretty amazing feat, seeing as most band members have bene playing for 4 to 6 years. So enough about my playing, what I really came to ask a few questions. How the heck do you guys pay for your bari saxs? The one as school (and I'm the only who plays it in all of the school) is just an E.M Winston (See here, bottom of page, gold version (http://www.emwinston.com/saxophones.htm) and that one alone is 4500$. Next is, where do you guys get your sheet music? I mean, I know there are tons of tabs on this site but I really have no idea how to read them. If someone could help me with that, I'd appriciate it alot. And lastly, how good were you all before you could learn by ear? That would make things alot easier for me (Ps, I'm a major STM fan).
