I strongly suggest Hetman's synthetic valve oil if you're lookinf for something new to try. I recently went into a music store to pick up another bottle of "Fast," but the guy suggested Hetman's, and let me feel it on a trumpet compared to regular oil. And it is nice. There's definitely a difference (for me at least) -- my valves have never been so fast/nice feeling before.

Make sure to get the right kind though -- there's Valve oil (the one you want), key oil I think, piston oil, etc. There's also different Viscosity levels. I think it's Level 1 you want.

Al Cass is my valve oil of choice. I haven't really tried any others. It's always worked just fine for me. It's really cheap too. I don't know how it compares to others, but it costs like three bucks and lasts me a good half year (if I don't lose it or get it stolen. All the trumpets in my band steal eachothers' valve oil, lol)

I usually go for blue juice, but wanting a change, I went for the orange scented valve oil. In my opinion, it's a lot better than all that other junk that you get with the trumpet or the cleaning kits. The valves run smoothly, not to mention now my hands and trumpet smell like oranges.

A friend of mine bought the orange Zaja oil. I liked it; it was pretty slick and smelled delicious.
