Hmmm that interestign, id absolutely love the extra projecting, Im not used to the restrictiveness of the mouthpice in the tenor, since i played bari b4, i had hardly anythgin in the way of me blowing as much as i could. I think il try and "borrow" a wide one, to try her out, btu i dont knwo if id go out and buyt one if i wasint sure. I think if i do il have to know exectly what i want b4 i buy..

But that interestign, and good luck in ur transition

I went to my local music store and just tried out a bunch of mouthpieces and thats how I made my decision. I went twice and chose the one that sounded the best.

I have been playing alto for about 7 years, I also play bari in jazz band, but I started playing Tenor for my Ska Band. A recommendation is if you have tried everything else and still can't get it. Try using a 2 for a reed, or a soft reed...Although it doesn't replace learning how to play the low notes, it makes it easier
