In my opinion, no one should be able to call themselves a ska fan without knowledge of The Toasters' extensive library.

They are THE definitive 3rd wave band, being the longest running ska band to ever come from the United States. Most people consider their first LP, Skaboom, to be the first 3rd wave ska album.

In fact, the Moon Ska record label (R.I.P.) was founded by Toasters front man, Robert "Bucket" Hingley. If you tell me that you've also never heard of Moon Ska records, I might just cry.

Even though Bucket is the only remaining member from the original lineup, they are still an amazing show. I had the chance to see them and skankathon left me sore for a week.

In short, hell yes you should play with them and will the show be in driving distance of Madison, WI?

I haven't heard too much of their stuff, but I have definitely heard of them. That's pretty awexome that you get to play with them -- but by "your band," do you mean your own band, or like your school band? Either way, pretty cool.

Be HONORED! Buy, or download, whatever the hell you do "Skaboom!" You know the Kablaam (Nickelodeon) theme song? That's a song of theirs called "2-Tone Army". Visit www.megalithrecords.com for info on them and all of their cd's.
