| I went two summers ago. I was in St. Dennis + Papinaeu Riding. We were basically the most downtown riding in Montreal so it was so much fun. We went out pretty much every night and had mad fun. Generally just choosing a Metro Station and finding things to do from there. We went to a really awesome ska+punk show one of the nights aswell. It was defiantely an experience of a lifetime though. I definately love Montreal. | ||

for the whole french ska thing, theres a random ska-esk band from ottaw gatineau that speak french in the majority of their songs. there called the black curtains, they only occasionaly have a guest horn though, unfortunalty, but if you cannot find anything else, you could always try giving them a listen

The Cat Empire did a cover of 'Hotel California' in French. I know, it's not ska but it still sounds cool. And you'll never guess what they called it...'Hotel de Californie'. Also the Gorillaz did a cool song called 'Que Pasa Contigo' which has trumpet in it but that's Spanish.
