| What kind do you use to grease up your 3rd and 1st slides. I use vasiline and a little valve oil but i want a grease thats more slick and long lasting. I've tried trombone cream but thats okay. | ||

Vaseline will work, but spend a few bucks on some cork grease (you should find it at any music/instrument store). Squeeze a little bit on the slide, rub in in with your finger, work the slide a bunch of times, and wipe of excess with a tissue. Simple and long-term effectiveness! It's how I do it, at any rate!

| don't use trombone slide cream, it'll soften up your trumpet slides. i use bach slide grease and i put valve oil on my 3rd valve slide so it moves faster. | ||
