ok... well no one believes me. all I do when I practice is jazz band music and my high notes. a warm up for me starts at the C above the staff and over an hour I just go higher and higher until I get a really good double C which is my average limit in normal playing. with effort I can reach the triple high C, but despite effort it's still success. I'm not lying. there's no point in lying as Pepino said

Straight up, I second whoever says that it doesn't matter if ppl lie or not. If someone can play those notes, more power to them! if they can't, I don't know them anyways. plus, there's no useful application for a triple C anyways. I'm fourteen, low Fsharp, to high D. The highest I've ever seen on any song chart, anywhere is high C. I've been playing brass two hours a day(on average) for four years, (either Tuba, Baritone horn, or Trumpet (same range on all of them, but a bit more on the Tuba) so if someone my age can double that that means that they must be practising about four hours a day since they were elven....huh. P.S. I've been looking for sheet music for The Flight Of The Bumblebee for an upcomming music festival. If you know any companies that ship band charts to Canada please lemme know, I'm sure it's not just me that's dying to learn that song! -sarfreer@gmail.com, The Full Range. p.s. it's not about how much you practice, it's about how you practice. i've played really high notes...and...now mostly all i try for is the f above the staff. the highest i've ever played written was a D ...only in jazz songs though. "feels so good" being one of them. i dont think i've gone above a C while playing improv solos though. ...i worry too much about tuning. i really need to get myself a tuner. by the way...i've seen flight of the bumble bee on some free music websites. that was an arrangement for piano. so....depending if you're goin' solo or whatnot. but..when you buy music, you pay the shipping ...so...most, if not all, companies will ship to canada. |

You can never be too paranoid about tuning!! I just printed off a free version of bumblebee, thanks! and I've extended my range by an octave lower! check out the new thread I made, I can play the C below middle C and the F+ below that! |
