| So, what you do during the shows? When its a ska show i usually skank pretty much all the time, but when it's a punk show or whatever I usually like to shove people, a bit of moshing for the body, lot of stage diving and cicrle pits are fun too. | ||

| SKANK! unfortunately I end up getting stuck with a mosh pit forming around my skanking so I have to get out of it to keep up a hardcore skank. [this is to ska] The last show I had alot of solo skanking moments as the scene here just like moshing so when the music changes into a nice easy skanking speed the mosh breaks up and I skank away. | ||

Skanking for me as well, i dont go to many harcore punk shows so moshing isnt really my thing. Solo skanking is always fun to watch, cause the audience backs away and your stuck alone in the middle.. great times Although, during an I Voted For Kodos show, my brother and one of his friends started a dance war, and the singer even commented them on it, it was great |

Skank? Bah! Lets see: First off, I LISTEN to the music. If it's hardcore, I like to floor punch and two step. |

I don't go to ska shows anymore. I go to jazz shows mostly. And I listen. The music is so intense. |

Why not? Ska has nothing to offer me anymore. |

| There is still hybrid bands of Jazz and ska... plus jazz fits very well with ska in solo sections and stuff. | ||

Ska bores me. I'm bored of the same old syncopated guitar. And a lot of it is just the same. Plus jazz musicians are much better musicians. The lines aren't usually simple, and they can solo like mad. |

| Some of the ska bands are pretty talented, like streetlight manifesto, but alot of their horn parts are german songs. | ||

General rudie has an amazing horn section. They fuse jazz and ska perfectly. The horns are all jazz musicians playing ska. I wouldn't generalize ska as a "remedial genre" when it comes to musical talent. I am an avid listener of JJ johnson and Kai Winding... so i do appreciate good jazz. I'm not knocking it... jazz is amazing. But ska has just as much to offer. As for syncopated guitar, i guess that is true. But that's part of the genre. All punk beats sound exaclty the same.. but punk is still good shit. In conclusion, long live ska. |

| The only punk I listen to is Dropkick Murpheys and Flogging Molly just because they have more than just guitars and drums. I still like the misfits cause of the catchy melodies but other than that I don't like much punk. | ||
