hey, I'm obviously new to this forum and i was just trying to get a feel for the people that post here....
how many of you guys like Big D?
if you don't or haven't heard their stuff, you have to, because they're the best ska/punk band ever (check their myspace or purevolume or their official site)

It is the band that I am always surprised that I like. I actually have one of their cds. They are what I normally don't like in ska but I like their horns and just the way his voice fits in and all I like it for some strange strange reason. Yet again I havem't listened to them in a while but I still like them just they are not on my continuous listening list. Plus their cd is short so it ends before my walks normally end and that is when I generally listen to my cds.

Emm it's a short one, just wait. Gypsy Hill. It's good but just short. There is like 12 but one is like 20 seconds and one is a really annoying thing recoeded on a cell phone or some crude form of recording.

Man I wanted to go to this show so bad. Fuck. It was sold out! I was so excited for Mustard Plug and Big D, I'm sad now. Just one question were there a lot of these hardcore kids there for Death by Stereo?

I haven't heard too much of there stuff, but what I have heard is really good. It seems to get catchier every time I listen. I think I'm gonna pick up their album "How it Goes"

WHAT?!?!???????
Big D is the best live band I have ever seen, that's how i first got into them...they are so energetic and play as fast and sometimes faster than on the album.
but sometimes they get sick or have a bad night, that's probably when you saw them, because they are sooo amazing!

I know, when i saw them, they were very awsome, i'm just saying, that if they did mess up, i didn't pick up on it, so it was very kick ass.

I'm going to see them, although not for them...They're on the, what is it, Summer Ska tour? Which I'm mainly going to see for the Suburban Legends. But the whole line up is pretty bitchin. And Big D is on there. So I'm stoked.

yeah, that tour is gonna be awesome...
Big D and Suburban Legends just makes it awesome, it will be the first all-ska show i have ever been to.
it's always been a ska band opening for a punk band, etc.

I kind of hate to be a downer, but I'm not too crazy about their lyrics. They're completely senseless. I swear that if he were to mumble everything he said, I'd love them just as much though. They still sound amazing as far as their music goes and David's voice goes perfectly with the rest of the band. Not to mention that they are absolutely one of the best bands I've ever seen live. They have that incredible stage performance that you just don't see anywhere else. I mean, David just kept right on playing with a busted head! Check it out:
