i havent heard of many ska bands...i just started to learn the trumpet so i want to get into it more :D..anyways the ska band that i have heard of and listen to is "The Toasters". They are pretty amazing.

i am most definatly in love with the toasters, your on the right path for your uber ska listenings, if your fond of the toasters, you woud also probably enjoy the specials, so you may want to check them out as well

I still have yet to hear the toasters, but I do like the Aquabats, Reel Big Fish, and the Mighty Mighty Bosstones. those are actually the obly ones I have heared.

five iron frenzy and also, the moon ska sampler cd's are great buys. have a look on amazon, i have the 2004 one and its in my "top cds" cd rack. yes, i'm organised when it comes to music

These are all good, but try out the Hippos and The Slackers. That way, you can prove to your friends you don't just listen to every ska band everyone else knows of.

Yeah, Flogging Molly's cool. I play trombone, but one of their songs, I think it's called "Don't Let Me Die Still Wondering" maybe, has a good French horn part (I think its a french horn). Well, anyway, that could probably be done on a trumpet.
