This is my punk/rock/ska band....tell me what you guys think of this one song www.putfile.com/face-spank i'm debating on whether to have more, less, or no so saxaphone in the song...don't worry, we have other songs with lots of it already....and yes, i'm aware that our bassist was missing for this one song... Thanks! |

Sounds nice. You may have something with a little bit of practice. Some tips though: Get a bassist or a keyboardist. It will really help round out your sound and stuff like that. The sax could have some potential, TUNE HIM PLEASE! It adds a little bit of diversity to the song. Your singer has sort of a Sex Pistols type sound. That isn't exactly good for the type of music you play, try to get him to sing a bit more. Haha your basement looks exactly like the place we used to practice in until about a month ago. We have full-blown walls, some sound foam and a nicer firepod with a couple new mics. Keep practicing. |

| Damn, no edit button... Try hanging up some blankets or something in the room you play in. It really helps to eliminate all the echo. | ||

putfile sucks... try filelodge.com about 55 seconds in, there's a good bass-bridge spot... and i can't even tell if this is supposed to be a ska song... not upbeat enough... try getting your guitarist to do some ska stroking on the high chords... as well as find a way to concentrate your sound to the mic/s... and i think u should write the sax part to be more involved, i only heard it once in the entire song... and if u can, find a boner or a trumpet or both and add em in to balance it better, as well as BASSIST!!! and more time for instrumental bridges... not a bad start tho, better than what i tried to do once... |

hey, thanks guys yeah, it isn't one of our ska songs... since this video, we have recorded in a room with much better acoustics and, sorry to say, i play bass instead of sax in that song...but not to worry, it is one of the few songs we have with no horns... i'll post when we have better stuff up |
