Last night I went to a Sounds Like Chicken gig.

It was COOOOLL! [ B) ] At the start there was 2 or 3 hardcore bands but then Wishful came on (they're a cool punk rock trio) and after that sLc came on!!! Their bass player left so one of their guitarists had to play bass but they were still awesome. The only annoying thing was that they were on last and at that time of night I was nearly out of energy so I didn't go in the mosh/skank pit. There was only about 160 people there but half of them were emos (not that I have anything against emos) so it was pretty crazy.

Most of the people at the front were wildly thrashing around, and one guy tried to spear tackle someone but he fell down and conked his scone on the stairs. He got up but didn't thrash around much afterwards.

Moral of the story, save your energy for the best act OR get loaded up with caffeine beforehand :L

Burnt a hole in your stomach!? Did you drink like, a gallon of jolt or something. Actually I'm not all that suprised. I know what it can do to instruments and I've heard that if you leave a t-bone steak in a bowl of coke, it'll be gone in two or three days.

I get annoyed because most ska gigs that I go to also have metal or hardcore bands there as well, so I can't tell who's there for the ska and who's there for the heavy-death-screamo-thrashcore acts.

But judging by the clothes and make-up, I'd say it's mostly the latter. I love that song 'Fashion Zombies' by The Aquabats
