Hey. Me and 6 other friends recently put together a ska band. At the moment, we are only doing cover songs from our favorite bands, but soon, our bassist will write us a killer song. The majority of our covers are from Streetlight Manifesto, then some other bands include The Suicide Machines, Buck-o-Nine, and The Mighty Mighty Bosstones. Our current line up is guitar, bass, vocals, drums, alto sax, tenor sax, and trumpet. This is our second practice as an entire group. We had certain individuals missing at previous practices due to conflicts in their own schedule. Please provide helpful constructive criticism. Enjoy! www.SoulRegatta.com |

| nice work, i give you a thumbs up. the only creative critisism is that at points the tenor kinda overpowers the rest of the horns, but only at points, i noticed it quite a bit in in my town. But that's only me beind picky ^-^ | ||

Hey! I just, by accident saw your video on YouTube.com. When I was googling for your band i saw this thread. You've really done a good job covering 'Riding the fourth wave' - keep on keeping on me hearties! |

Thanks for the comments guys. I play tenor in the band and I do admit, i play loud quite often. The videos we have on our site right now are from when we played at our school. Needless to play, that was a real blast. But just today, we played a gig at a coffee shop by our school called "It's A Grind Coffee Shop" and that was like 10 times better than the school one. We played three new songs and we got a lot of more publicity and LOTS of skanking. Hell even I got to skank at some parts :D. The videos will be added soon. Besure to check our sites for updates. And also check out our myspace. www.myspace.com/SoulRegatta |

Lol I have no idea why i made this typo. "Needless to play, that was a real blast. " I meant to say "Needless to SAY, that was a real blast" |

| Hey, I happened to look up Streetlight on YouTube recently and came across a bunch of your guys' cover songs. You guys sounded pretty awexome actually, so keep up the good work, and hope your original songs turn out good too. | ||

You guys are pretty good. Only bad thing is the quality. If you guys could record the guitar, bass, and drums at a higher volume so its even with the horns that would be a lot more enjoyable to listen to. |

You know that Hey Ska! by the Suicide machines is a trombone, right? Also...transitions are not so good (at least for what I listened to). Try to write some originals and record them, and I'd be more interested. Call me old fashioned, but I like a band to cover a song in their own way...not just to mimic the original band. I'm not saying the covers you did were bad, but like, listening to another band play the same song in a way thats similar, but not exactly the same just isn't that great. Gah, I sound like a jerk, and I'm not trying to be. You guys sound good as a band, and I look forward to hearing the originals. Add my band on myspace, The Gadgets. http://www.smalltownska.com or http://www.myspace.com/smalltownska |

Hey guys. Your horns aren't bad, but please get a real singer. Whoever this guy is just insulting Thomas Kalnoky, Kevin Gunther, and Ryan Eldred (and the other siners he covers, I'm sure). But good effort, and good cover songs!
