| I've just recently saw a drum corps show and their sound quality was outstanding. I'm in marching band(and looking to join a corps this year) and I was wondering if any of you guys could tell me what a good mouthpiece and trumpet would be great for improving sound quality and range on the field. | ||

Is this your first trumpet? Are you just starting? Are you just out to buy a trumpet for marching and an MP? The main tip about this is that I give to all players is that trumpets are like shoes not socks, everyone wears a different shoe, it's not a one size fits all kinda deal. If you have trumpet, go to your local music shop and try out a few differnt MPs playing the same thing everytime on your horn, then decide on the one that fits YOU the best. Same thing with trumpets, get out a MP you already play with and play a few differnt trumpets and see what you like. If you are a rookie trumpet player then I would reccomend buying a cheaper horn to start off with to see if you really like it, and then upgrade later. If you sort of sketch out your situation I might be able to help you a little more and be more specific. -Dave |

Im a junior in highschool, ive been playing for 6 years.. and i went from a Bach TR300 with a 7c MP then upgraded to 1.5C then eventually got myself a Getzen Eterna 700s with a 14A4A mouthpiece and its great i dont know your situation but if its anything like mine.. i suggest the getzen with the Schilke 14A4A mouthpiece it works great

I was goign to do a corps. thing, but I can hardly stand bandcamp so. I don't think so. I guess I will just spend all summer practicing or doing gigs instead
