You could always throw the trupets in the air or something.. lol. Actually at my school one player started a trend where you simply lean back on every 1st beat, which positions your trumpet pointing upwards if it's at cradle. Then there was the whole thing where everybody was doing place-swapping. One guy would switch places with another guy on the other side of the line -- one walked across in front, and the other behind, all in step. Then you do it between ranks, many at a time... The whole section could also bust into cut/double time marching. But we only did this stuff on way to practices, never on the way to competitions or games. |

| back flip while playing? i unno. What you should do is just have a choreographed dance thing... or if it doesnt gross you out to much, all the trumpet players throw there trumpets in theair and catch another one, then keep playing.. i unno, you just gotta get creative with it.... | ||

| well i march a baritone... the lean-back is by far the easiest... as well as to roll with the music, like left/right/up/down on particular beats | ||

yeah... i think that if i did that, i'd be screwed almost as bad as the horn... lol my drum major's an ass... we were doin the place tradin in 2-bys, on the way back from practice... since they're now makin us march to and from the field for practice... but yeah, so he told us to stop 'now's not the time'... so when is the time, parade w/o having practiced it first? |
