alright guys, and girls? well anyway i'm in marching band and i'm one of the best at school...but anyway endurance...i mean i can play high and stuff but not for very long...field show i'm good but after that its done...but they come back in a little bit...so what can i do? any thing will help P.S. girls i wouldn't mind gettin some email addresses or msn or w/e

Dude the very first thread in the trumpet forum is called THE ENDURANCE THREAD. Check it out. If you add in some lip slurs as well, your endurance will become amazing. |

This is what I suggest. When you are practicing you alternate between Strength Days and Endurance Days so you are not tearing the same muscles everyday. On Strength Days you play the higher stuff and harder stuff. Though on these days you should rest often and take frequent breaks. On the Endurance Days you play less demanding stuff chop wise and rest a lot less. This way you are not tearing away the same muscles everyday. Good luck with it, it works for me. -Dave |
