Okay, i saw a guy in a ska band.He was the trombone player. And he had a lip ring.I wasn't sure if he had to take out his lip ring everytime he played.Or if it made playing hard.Or whatever. Anybody have some awnsers? |

| depends on the size of it, but most likely he takes it out for performance, cause it'd cause a sufficient air-leak, as well as get in the way and cause irritation... | ||

| Depends where on the lip is was...if it was on the corner/side it wouldnt really be the big of an issue. | ||

| But even if it was taken out...wouldn't air still leak out through the hole? | ||

not if you put it back in after playing... the hole would just leak air back into the horn... maybe causing a lil less control... but quite possible |

i dont think so.. its not that big of a hole and with the vibrations and the lips curled inside the mouth peice there will be none of this "leaking air back into the horn" it might just be uncomfortable... |

just ask a horn player with a ring.. i'm sure if it bothered them and effected their playing that badly, they would pick the instrument over the peircing |
