I think that in general mellophones are underrated. I think we need to see more bands with mellophones i mean come on. Its like a brass woodwind. I'd personally like to see some more bands with mellophones in them. Yours truly, Angry Mellophoninst |

| I Voted For Kodos has a mellophone. Give their ska stuff a listen if you haven't already (Close Enough for Ska cd). Their newer music is more pop punk styled, but still utilizes horn sometimes. | ||

| it's not that they aren't used... check out any local marching band... it's since that they're harder to individually own, it's more likely to find them bought through school or a drum corp... where they find a majority of use... the same deal with a marching baritone (what i played until my senior night thursday... no more... whoa!)... but yeah, like mentioned above, they have had non-traditional uses as well | ||
